company blending traditional West African flavor with global cuisine. Our purpose is to expand entry to Africa's food.

WHY IT MATTERS
In the late '60s, food was my salvation during Nigeria's civil war. Today, it serves as my weapon against a different conflict: heart disease. At Auntie Pat's, we are constructing a culinary bridge to West Africa that inspires a healthier, more connected world.

HEALTHY WEST AFRICAN FLAVOR IN MINUTES

JOLLOF SAUCE.
"It tastes like the James Bond version of marinara sauce. Sultry, rugged, and frankly irresistible. I'm obsessed."

Ripened slow-simmered tomatoes revel in blend of umami and smoke.

FAMILY OWNED
GLOBALLY FOCUSED

After my family faced the frightening experience of two separate heart incidents I was forced to decouple carbs from our two-generation jollof recipe. This simple action revealed the stunning flexibility of jollof as a standalone sauce. Gradually our old friend became a heart-healthy, time-saving, fixture in our low carb diet.

OUR HISTORY
Few foods hold as much cultural importance in Africa as does jollof rice. The dish dates back to the 12th century Wolof empire in modern day Senegal. As the empire expanded the Wolof people carried their “golden rice“ to the furthest corners of West Africa. Each day we're motivated to live by their example in translation.

OUR ETHOS
100% fresh whole foods, hand-selected for each batch, ensure flavors stand up equally to rice as they do legumes and vegetables.

About Us

Preserving Culture.
Extending Invitation.

In 1965, I was born in Lagos, Nigeria amidst a bloody civil war. There I witnessed firsthand how explosive culture could be in extending or shrinking the distance between us.

Much has changed in the last 50 years but my belief remains steadfast. Where there's food, there's life, and where there's life, there's culture. To many we're but a tiny food company – to me we're expanding the lens to which we view African culture.

My absolute favorite bottle is the Original Hot because it reminds me most of the Jollof you get at Nigerian parties

In literally 20 minutes, I was able to create my own jollof rice that was even better than the first time I had it.

I could drink this straight out the bottle. That can't be good for me.
